Who We Are Looking For

The Montgomery County Crisis Center is currently recruiting for an experienced clinician with excellent communication skills to join our talented multi-disciplinary staff as a Supervisory Therapist. The Crisis Center is a dynamic 24/7 operation that provides phone, walk-in, residential and mobile crisis outreach services. Crisis Center staff are essential employees who provide critical behavioral health services to the community as well as provide supplemental crisis functions for multiple DHHS programs.

What

You’ll Be Doing
  • Supervises day-to-day program operations in a 24 hour crisis setting, providing clinical expertise and direction for a wide range of presenting clinical issues. Plans, assigns, reviews and evaluates the work of licensed therapists and other subordinate staff within the assigned program area. Shift coverage may include evenings and weekends.
  • Develops and implements program activities and services, including trainings and educational activities. May include representing the Crisis Center on committees and task forces.
  • Assures consistent application of and compliance with Federal, State, and County regulations, policies and procedures as they relate to crisis work and implementation of crisis services.
  • Collaborates with other County, private, and non-profit programs and providers in coordinating best outcomes for clients receiving services at the Crisis Center.
  • Participates in on-call rotation for 24/7 coverage with other Crisis Center Supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Four (4) years of professional clinical counseling experience, including at least one (1) year at the supervisory/lead level.

Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s Degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, nursing, or a related Behavioral science field.

Equivalency: None.

LICENSE REQUIREMENT
  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
  • Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapy (LCMFT)
  • Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC)
  • Licensed Certified Social Worker/Clinical (LCSW-C)
  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Licensed Psychologist

Note:

There will be no substitutions for this requirement.

Possession and maintenance of a valid Class C (or equivalent) driver’s license from the applicant’s state of residence when required for job-related duties.
