Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Medical Staff Coordinator I for our Medical Staff Department. This role embraces our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities- Initiate and coordinate the acquisition and receipt of all credentialing documentation from assigned providers; provide follow‑up and problem resolution as required.
- Act as point of contact for all matters associated with credentialing; troubleshoot and resolve problems and issues as they arise.
- Collaborate to develop and maintain a comprehensive credentialing database and prepare reports and summaries as appropriate.
- Obtain and maintain primary source verifications.
- Obtain and monitor current clinical competency evaluations and peer review.
- Ensure compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and Credential Manual in accordance with the Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement and core process activities.
- Assist in developing workflow processes/procedures to ensure all credentialing and accreditation processes are completed in accordance with relevant regulation, policies, and standards.
- Participate in file audits, delegated credentialing, schedules, coordinate, and facilitate credentialing/accreditation committee proceedings; provide follow‑up and problem resolution regarding committee matters as appropriate.
- Manage and support assigned departmental operations or other committee meetings.
- Contribute to special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree or higher education required.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a confidential health care/credentialing position and/or a related field.
- Certification in Professional Credentialing Specialist preferred; achievement of certification within five years of hire preferred.
- Experience with credentialing software, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Pay Range: $22.64 – $30.63
