Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Support Service Coordinator who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities- Organize the overall functions of transcriptionist within the department.
- Utilize proper resources to schedule efficiently which enhances departmental productivity.
- Maintain professionalism and interpersonal skills.
- Communicate with patients, family members, co-workers and appropriate medical disciplines to streamline department functions for delivery of optimal care.
- Organize, prioritize, and complete work utilizing proper business vocabulary, punctuations and format.
- Attend 90% of staff meetings and records the minutes accurately.
- Answer telephones courteously and in a timely manner.
- Maintain tactfulness and flexibility during stressful situations.
- Responsible for Insurance Verification
- Responsible for patient scheduling
- Responsible for scheduling patient interpreters
- Assist clinical staff with scheduling and admin needs, Data entry and administrative and clerical work
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience in Insurance verification, billing, and scheduling.
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Hours per Week: 36 hrs/week

Schedule:
630-6 ( two days a week) and then 2 shorter days Monday through Fri dayability to flex up to 40 if needed - Shift Type: Day

- Holiday Requirements: Required/Follow company holiday calendar
- On-Call: No
- Shift Differential Eligible: yes when applicable
Pay Range: $20.51 - $27.21
