Brief Job Overview

This is a professional individual contributor position that will be part of the Healthcare, Quality & Safety (HQS) Center of Excellence
. The role will contribute to the development of current and future educational material that supports the HQS education portfolio. Collaborating with documentary scientists in the Healthcare Quality and Safety team and the USP education team, the incumbent will develop education material on key topics such as pharmacogenomics, compounding, health literacy, medication safety, and other emerging areas. The material will be used to drive and sustain outreach to stakeholders at conferences, through direct engagement, web pages, and other media to promote adoption of HQS standards and solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, planning, and coordination of educational content, including course materials and curriculum design, to enable understanding and adoption of HQS standards across the four expert committees (Personalized Medicine; Healthcare Information & Technology; Healthcare Safety, Quality, & Nomenclature; and Compounding).
  • Identify and advance opportunities to develop and deliver education materials and related resources that help external stakeholders understand and adopt current and emerging HQS standards and solutions.
  • Participate in the design and development of education material that strengthens medication safety across the medication management lifecycle.
  • Revise and refine educational content to reflect stakeholder needs and evolving developments across pharmacogenomics, compounding, medication safety & automation, and healthcare needs.
  • Participate in the design and execution of high‑impact education initiatives for stakeholder forums, workshops, roundtable discussions, training, and continuous learning programs to deepen stakeholder understanding, engagement, and adoption of HQS standards and solutions.
  • Assist in the development of research summaries, concept papers, stimulus articles, and other position papers related to HQS work.
  • Analyze and interpret educational data and material for improvement and new offerings.
  • Assist in the engagement, evaluation, and trending of participants’ feedback.
Qualifications
  • Degree in pharmacy, medicine, nursing, or science or relevant field with not less than 5 years of relevant experience in the healthcare or consumer products industry.
  • Pharmacy Technician with a minimum of 10 years of experience in compounding.
  • Minimum of 5 years educator experience in a community or institutional setting.
  • Experience in supporting compliance or accreditation related to USP Compounding Standards.
Additional Desired Preferences
  • Knowledge of existing guidelines and requirements for continuous education.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems.
