Position: R-031564 Psychiatric Technician Student, Day or Night Shift, Behavioral Health

Position Overview

Adventist Health Care - Behavioral Health seeks to hire an experienced Psychiatric Technician Student who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor therapeutic treatment milieu
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop patient care protocols and procedures
  • Incorporate clinical guidelines into patient care
  • Actively participate and complete Psychiatric Technician Academy
  • Use information technology to deliver safe and efficient care
  • Use critical thinking skills to make clinical judgment and individualize patient care
Qualifications
  • 0–2 years of clinical experience in an acute or sub‑acute care setting
  • High school diploma or GED
  • For ED Psych position: CNA or prior patient care experience preferred
Work Schedule
  • Employment Type:

    Full‑time
  • Hours per week: 36 hrs/week
  • Typical daily schedule: 1st 2.5 weeks 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Monday through Friday, then transition to 3–12 hr shifts per week with rotating weekend for remaining 4.5 weeks. After completion of the program, the schedule will continue to be 12‑hour shifts, day or night, and every other weekend.

    Day (6:45 AM–7:15 PM) or Night (6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
  • Weekend requirements: rotating weekend requirement
  • Holiday requirements: rotating holiday requirement

Compensation

Pay Range: $18.00 – $22.79 per hour.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as: United States of America (Non‑Exempt)
