Location: Rockville, MD (Onsite 3 days a week)
Employment Type: Contract to Hire (Direct Hire from day 1 a possibility)

Our advanced nuclear client is seeking a Compensation Analyst III to join the team!
Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:- Collaborate with managers to draft or update job descriptions.
- Utilizing the Pay Scale tool, conduct market research to benchmark compensation practices against industry standards. Analyze trends to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
- Design, implement, and maintain job architecture, career levels, grades and incentive programs that align with organizational goals and market data.
- Conduct quarterly FLSA review to identify employees are in the appropriate classification (exempt/non-exempt)
- Work closely with HR leadership, finance, and department managers to provide salary recommendations for market adjustments and promotions and answer any compensation inquiries.
- Support Director, HR Operations with planning and administration of annual salary review cycles including annual merit increase calculation, COLA recommendation, and bonus calculation, as well as managing off cycle processes, and budget preparation.
- Support the design, communication, and implementation of incentive plans.
- Create and modify compensation operation policies, guidelines, procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor regulatory legislation and audit to identify potential compensatory, operational, and financial impacts. Ensure compliance with existing federal, state, and local compensation related regulations (Minimum Wage, FLSA, EEO-1, Wage & Hour).
- Monitor cost of wage geographic differentials. Advise management on compensation-related legal matters and best practices.
- Ensure compensation practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Mathematics, Finance, or related field or 5 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of experience working as a Compensation Analyst for a technical HW/SW company, where they are confident in learning/interpreting the requirements of technical roles. Looking for someone that is a technical compensation expert.
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, job evaluation methodologies, and relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Experience with Payscale or other compensation management platform required.
- Advanced Microsoft Office experience: in particular, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel experience that includes VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts.
- Strong business acumen, analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, including keen judgment and decision-making, with an eye towards process efficiency and simplification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to be influential with impactful presentation skills.
