We are currently seeking an experienced, driven, and natural problem-solver to join our team as a Senior Programmer Analyst. The Senior Programmer Analyst will contribute to organizational success by designing, developing, debugging, and implementing software and data solutions using various development languages and adhering to full project lifecycle development processes. The incumbent will serve as the IT software and data technical resource to the functional line of business owners and associated subject matter experts and will also serve as the principal liaison and technical lead with external third party software providers.
Prior experience in the financial services industry will serve as a strong foundation for this position.
This position will require working onsite at a minimum of two days per week.
Required Qualifications- This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience. 7+ years' experience in programming and gathering and translating business requirements into functional specifications and performing quality assurance testing. Education and working knowledge in systems analysis and quality assurance techniques, project management techniques, communication, training and presentation techniques. Prior experience in the banking industry is preferred.
- Must have strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate complex activities and prioritize conflicting demands. Must have excellent analytical skills. Must have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office. Demonstrated telephone and interpersonal skills. Provide exceptional member service and tactfully manage business relationships, internally and externally. Demonstrated professionalism, diplomacy, composure and flexibility. Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Must possess strong software development and database design skills. Must demonstrate knowledge and expertise in various front end development tools (e.g., JavaScript, XML), back end development tools (e.g., C#, Java, Python), as well as database solutions (MS SQL Server, MySQL, Mongo
DB.) Familiarity with reporting and analysis tools (e.g., Power
BI, Jasper Soft). Experience with cloud-native data and development processes within environments such as Microsoft Azure are preferred. - Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for this position along with a proven ability to present findings and conclusions clearly and concisely to all levels of employees, management and/or vendors.
- Knowledge of NCUA and FFIEC regulations, GLBA, PCI and other information security requirements and framework knowledge of the financial services industry is a plus.
