Senior Discovery IT System Administrator
CGS is seeking a dedicated Senior Discovery IT System Administrator to join a fast‑paced, government‑focused team to support legal discovery applications and related infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Ensure the day‑to‑day availability of electronic discovery applications and related tools.
- Administer, monitor, install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with vendors and developers to implement fixes.
- Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies.
- Assist technical architecture design discussions and liaise with vendors on product issues.
- Develop and provide training for end‑users and deliver general support on e‑discovery tools.
- Reverse engineer and document the existing legacy application architecture.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements and support discovery application integration/migration activities.
- Contribute to knowledge management databases by creating and improving technical knowledge articles.
- Support backend infrastructure, data migrations, application installation, management and configuration.
- Experience with legal technology and electronic discovery management (EDRM) tools such as Relativity, Veritas eDP, or similar cloud‑hosted review platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server 2019/2022, Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2022 and relational databases (MySQL or SQL Server 2012+).
- Experience managing cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, VMware, Azure Functions, Azure API Gateways, AWS EC2, or AWS Lambda.
- Background in backend infrastructure, data migrations and application lifecycle management.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with vendors and developers.
