We are hiring this position to support our client's efforts to modernize biomedical research.
This project supports learning and workforce development for Cloud and AI software through a diverse set of learning modalities designed to strengthen the client's capacity to leverage cloud computing, data science, AI, and bioinformatics tools for biomedical research.
As a Cloud & AI Trainer, you will provide expertise in developing and delivering training resources to support the scientific community’s use of cloud, data, and AI technologies. In this role, you will work closely with the Scientific Enablement team and Cloud Science Specialists to understand the needs of intramural and extramural communities and translate technical capabilities into practical, user-friendly learning materials.
You will develop tutorials, guides, onboarding materials, and will support workshops, Cloud Lab onboarding, and user engagement activities. You will help maintain and improve tutorials and Git Hub-based training resources, ensuring content is current, organized, and scalable across a growing user base. You will also support the adoption of emerging technologies, including Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot), by developing training materials and providing guidance to users.
You will work with the team to structure training content and learning pathways that enable repeatable, scalable adoption. This is a training and enablement-focused role. You are not expected to be a deep subject matter expert, but you should be comfortable learning new technologies and helping others apply them in real-world scenarios.
- US citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance is required
- Position is hybrid; should be local to Bethesda, MD; must be on client site at least 2 x week
Basic Qualifications/You Have:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in training, education, or technical enablement (e.g., tutorials, workshops, onboarding, or instructional content)
- Experience developing and delivering training materials or educational resources
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Ability to explain technical concepts (cloud, data, or AI) to non-technical or mixed audiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination
Additional Qualifications/Nice to Have
- Experience using or supporting Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) for training, documentation, or workflow support
- Exposure to scientific, data, or bioinformatics-related workflows
- Experience maintaining Git Hub-based tutorials or technical documentation repositories
- Experience supporting workshops, data challenges, bootcamps, or hackathons
- Familiarity with effective training or instructional design approaches (e.g., ADDIE or similar)
- Experience supporting onboarding or user adoption for technical platforms
- Experience working with NIH, HHS, or other federal research environments
- Existing HHS or NIH badge or active NIH Public Trust
