Senior Database Administrator​/Engineer - Exadata

Job Description

Glia Cell is seeking a Senior Database Administrator / Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full‑time position supporting a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission‑related software and systems for a large government contract.

• Practice/Technical Director provides technology and industry leadership on large and/or more complex IT engagements.
• Technical Director leads enterprise wide solution engagements for high quality, integrated solutions within constraints of time and budget.
• Develop an integrated and robust solution based on customer needs combining GOTS, COTS, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and third‑party components.
• Provide subject matter experience to assist customer through difficult business decisions.
• Design, configure and implement all aspects of the full stack architecture delivering innovative solutions by combining Oracle best practices, knowledge in IT product offerings, and business acumen.
• Recommend enhancements to meet complex customer needs.

• Possess an active or re‑enableable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.
• 10+ years of experience administering and engineering solutions with Oracle’s database (10‑current).
• Extensive experience with database design and modeling; collection and interpretation of customer requirements for database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning.
• Significant experience with the production and deployment of RAC, RMAN backup & recovery.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata, DB security, Data Guard and/or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration.
• BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent years of experience.
• Must be an independent worker with strong communication skills.

$170,000 to $260,000 per year.
