Job Overview

Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and related processes. Supports day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and other related equipment. Includes Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, status communication to agency management, dispatch system support, and involvement in resolution processes. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems, installs operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components, including operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Support day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Escalate issues and communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Remain involved in the resolution process for dispatch system and hardware problems.
• Provide in‑depth troubleshooting experience for IT systems.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems, install and load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components, implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.

• Ten (10) years experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Compliance with DoD 8570-M, IAT Level 2 certification requirements.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and command‑line interface (CLI).
• Some familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Power Shell).
• Experience with system automation tools (e.g., Active Directory, Group Policy for Windows).
• Knowledge of network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, KVM, Docker for Linux; Hyper‑V, VMWare for Windows).
• Some experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Zabbix, ELK).
• Understanding of security best practices and protocols.
• Experience with additional automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph.
