Job Summary

The Asset Performance Data Analyst working under the Performance Monitoring & Technical Analysis (PMTA) group serves as the regional technical authority responsible for ensuring the performance integrity, reliability, and financial optimization of Standard Solar’s portfolio of solar assets. This role oversees asset performance governance by validating monitoring data, reviewing service tickets and root cause analysis, analyzing production trends, and identifying underperformance, curtailment, and degradation risks.

The Asset Performance Data Analyst plays a key role in protecting asset revenue by performing performance analysis, validating lost energy impacts, and ensuring service actions align with verified technical findings. This position also supports preventative and predictive maintenance strategies by identifying systemic performance issues and recommending operational improvements across assigned regions. Asset Performance Data Analyst ensures monitoring accuracy, service quality, and disciplined performance management across the portfolio while supporting Operational Acceptance (OA), reporting initiatives, and continuous process improvements that strengthen O&M profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical authority for assigned regions, ensuring asset performance integrity, monitoring accuracy, and operational reliability across the solar portfolio.
  • Review and validate service tickets generated by monitoring partners and contractors to ensure accurate severity classification, root cause identification, and proper documentation of system downtime and performance impacts.
  • Conduct regular ticket audits to identify data inconsistencies, missing documentation, incorrect categorization, or unresolved operational issues.
  • Analyze asset performance using measured vs. expected production data, weather-adjusted performance metrics, and trend analysis to identify underperformance, degradation, and operational risks.
  • Validate curtailment events by coordinating with utilities and reviewing interconnection agreements to confirm event legitimacy, duration, and production impact.
  • Perform lost energy calculations and validate revenue impact associated with outages, underperformance events, and system degradation.
  • Support preventative and predictive maintenance strategies by identifying systemic equipment failures, recurring operational issues, and emerging reliability trends.
  • Collaborate with Vendor Coordination & Management (VCM) to support service dispatch decisions based on validated technical findings and performance analysis.
  • Ensure data integrity across monitoring platforms, service ticket systems, and reporting tools by validating system configuration, equipment data, and performance records.
  • Support Operational Acceptance (OA) processes by reviewing asset readiness, confirming ticket resolution, validating monitoring configuration, and recommending technical approval for assets transitioning into O&M operations.
  • Develop and support performance dashboards, reporting tools, automation initiatives, and data validation frameworks that enhance monitoring accuracy and operational visibility.
  • identify systemic performance trends and provide recommendations for operational improvements that increase system efficiency, reduce reactive service events, and protect asset revenue.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Construction, Asset Management, and third-party monitoring providers to ensure consistent performance governance and scalable O&M operations.
  • Maintain high ethical and operational standards that promote accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the O&M organization.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Asset Performance Data Analyst does not currently supervise staff but serves as the regional technical authority for ticket validation, asset performance governance, monitoring data integrity, and oversight of third-party monitoring and analysis activities within the O&M framework.
