What You Will Do:- Leads cybersecurity strategy and implementation, including risk management framework processes, control implementation, and documentation.
- Embeds security practices across systems and workflows, providing guidance on secure design, data protection, and access controls.
- Ensures compliance with federal security standards and facilitates audits, assessments, and remediation activities.
- Oversees incident response planning, investigation, and resolution, and promotes organization-wide security awareness.
- Advise leadership on risk posture and mitigation strategies, balancing security requirements with operational needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- Eight years securing federal systems
- Expertise in federal security frameworks (e.g., NIST), vulnerability management, and system security
- Strong risk assessment and communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD “public trust”; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their public trust prior to onboarding. Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred.
- Master’s degree
- Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM); experience in data‑intensive or research‑focused environments.
- Prior NIH experience
