The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is seeking dedicated candidates to fill important roles within our department. POSITION DUTIES This position serves as Senior Program Manager III, providing executive leadership and operational oversight for the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services' Information Technology and Communications Division (ITCD). Direct enterprise IT operations, including data center, application development, network and telecommunications, criminal justice information systems, and IT administration. Lead strategic technology initiatives, manage resources, coordinate cross-functional technical and project management teams, and establish enterprise IT policies, governance, and operational standards to ensure the secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of mission-critical technology services.
- Enterprise Data Center Operations & Infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience designing, operating, and modernizing enterprise data center infrastructure supporting mission-critical environments with high availability (99.9%+ uptime).
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including:
- Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching platforms
- Cisco ISR/ASR routing
- Cisco DNA Center
- Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
- Dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- VLANs, VRFs, QoS, STP, HSRP, Ether Channel
- Experience implementing and supporting Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN), MPLS, VPRN, and hybrid WAN architectures.
- Experience administering enterprise storage infrastructure including:
- Storage Area Networks (SAN)
- Fibre Channel
- iSCSI
- Enterprise storage platforms (Dell EMC, Net App, IBM Storage, Pure Storage)
- Experience managing enterprise server environments including:
- VMware vSphere/ESXi
- Microsoft Hyper-V
- Windows Server
- Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu)
- IBM AIX
- Experience supporting IBM Z/OS mainframe environments, including infrastructure supporting enterprise mainframe applications.
- Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery technologies such as:
- Veeam
- IBM Spectrum Protect
- Commvault
- Knowledge of enterprise virtualization, clustering, and high availability technologies.
- Experience planning infrastructure lifecycle management, technology refresh initiatives, capacity planning, and hardware replacement strategies.
- Knowledge of enterprise power infrastructure including:
- UPS systems
- PDUs
- Generator failover
- N+1 redundancy
- Data center environmental monitoring
- Experience implementing and supporting enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms including Microsoft Intune, JAMF, or Mobile Iron.
- Experience managing enterprise telecommunications infrastructure including:
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
- Cisco Unity
- Microsoft Teams Voice
- SIP
- VoIP migration initiatives
