Our client is seeking a motivated Desktop Support Technician with at least one (1) year of relevant IT experience to support our Rockville, Maryland office location.

This role involves maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.

Applicants must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff members.

The position reports to the local branch management and regional IT staff, following established guidelines to perform job functions.

Software:

• Active Directory Administration
• Microsoft Server 2008 and 2012
• Microsoft Hyper-V
• Windows 7, 8
• Symantec Backup Exec 2014
• Windows Deployment Services or similar disk imaging tools
• Zendesk Helpdesk or equivalent IT support ticket system
• Team Viewer or similar remote desktop tools
• Engineering software:
  Bentley Microstation, Geo Pak, Autodesk AutoCAD

Hardware:

• HP Proliant servers, desktops, and laptops
• Tablets and mobile devices (Microsoft Surface Pro, iPhones, iPads, Android devices)
• Dell SonicWALL TZ and NSA firewalls
• Shore Tel VoIP systems
• Netgear PoE network switches
• Canon copiers and HP plotters
• APC UPS battery backups

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience
• At least one (1) year of relevant IT experience
• Certifications:
  
  A+, Network+, Security+
