Overview:
The Data, Reporting and Analytics Consultant IV is a senior individual contributor on the Risk Adjustment Reporting and Analytics team, a Government Programs function responsible for delivering timely, high-quality production reporting and self-service insights into risk score performance and its drivers across Kaiser Permanente markets. The team supports risk-adjusted Medicare, Affordable Care Act, and Medicaid programs. This role collaborates with analysts, business partners, and technical stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain trusted data models and business intelligence solutions.
A primary focus will be building scalable data foundations for Power BI and translating complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable reporting. The consultant will be expected to independently own assigned solutions, clarify analytical requirements, apply consistent business logic, and contribute technical expertise to broader team decisions. Near-term priorities include expanding the measures, business logic, and analytical capabilities available through the team’s data models and supporting the modernization of the reporting platform as the underlying data environment transitions from SQL Server and Synapse to Databricks.
Success requires hands-on experience developing data visualizations and working with relational data, with particular value placed on Power BI, DAX, and SQL. Candidates should also understand ETL processes, dimensional modeling concepts such as star schemas, and modern data pipelines. Experience with Python, Databricks, or risk adjustment is preferred.
