Plumbing Service Dispatcher
REPORTS TO:Plumbing Service Manager
Requirements- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous dispatching or service coordination experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency using computers, email, and dispatch/service management software (Tech Tool experience preferred).
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with occasional overtime, including early start times as needed (as early as 6:00 a.m.).
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and remain in a stationary position throughout the workday.
- Answer incoming customer calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Schedule and dispatch service technicians based on customer requests, technician availability, and business priorities.
- Coordinate service requests using phone, email, and dispatch software.
- Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, service updates, and questions.
- Maintain regular communication with service technicians regarding preventive maintenance, quoted repairs, and time-and-material work orders.
- Contact preventive maintenance customers to schedule upcoming service visits and obtain confirmation.
- Assist the Plumbing Service Manager with forecasting workload and staffing needs.
- Participate in weekly workload planning meetings with the Plumbing Service Manager.
- Monitor and track after-hours emergency service calls and ensure proper follow-up.
- Process and close work orders accurately and timely.
- Obtain vendor quotes and coordinate bulk material orders as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
