Maintenance Technician

OBJECTIVE:

The Maintenance Technician performs duties as assigned which contribute to the proper functioning and appearance of the facility. This job reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Engineer, and/or the Facilities and Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

* At least 2-5 years of experience knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.

* High school diploma or equivalent; certificate in HVAC is required, building maintenance technology or relevant field.

* Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.

* Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.

* Able sit, stand, lift and/or move up to 50lbs+, daily uses of hands, fingers to handle objects, tools or controls.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance and repair services to include HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.

* Install light bulbs, doors, bulletin boards, and cabinets.

* Paint interior and exterior walls; assemble furniture.

* Perform preventative maintenance and equipment repairs.

* Keep equipment records of repairs and preventative maintenance performed.

* Keep all work areas and mechanical rooms clean, safe and well organized.

* Create and maintain a good parts and material inventory and accountability of tools.

* Perform other duties as assigned.
