Pritchard Industries is seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Engineer to maintain the operational functionality of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems across a variety of commercial properties. The role requires strong technical expertise, diligence, and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot system issues to ensure safe and efficient operation of the facilities.

• Operate, monitor, and maintain in good working order and condition, the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems, and all other equipment related to the mechanical and electrical plant of the building.
• Operate, test, manage and maintain all property systems and equipment.
• Prepare, maintain, and regularly review logs for service, repair, operation, and complaints related to the equipment. Recommend proper care, procedure, and methods of operating the equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance program for the mechanical/electrical equipment and critical site systems. Communicate with manufacturers to obtain necessary data and literature for written preventive maintenance procedures, operating instructions, schedules, etc.
• Comply with the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act and all applicable rules and regulations. Keep Material Safety Data Sheets ("MSDS") up‑to‑date and follow all safety practices and procedures.
• Recommend, propose, and implement operational mode changes for maximum energy conservation and "green" products, and implement the Demand Response load‑shedding program during tests and events.
• Maintain all areas containing building systems and equipment in neat, clean, and painted condition.
• Oversee any special maintenance, repairs or other work to the systems and equipment performed by others.
• Monitor and evaluate the energy consumption of the property and recommend additions, replacements, enhancements or modifications to existing equipment or systems to maximize energy efficiency.
• Maintain a daily log of activities and operations. Keep records of equipment documents, preventive maintenance, major repairs, energy management and projects. Maintain records regarding regulated programs such as asbestos maintenance, indoor air quality and refrigerant management.
• Perform or oversee testing, inspection, registration or certification for building equipment or systems.
• Submit monthly written reports to the Manager and perform an annual audit of the engineering operation, providing a written report of findings and recommendations.

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 7+ years of related work experience operating commercial buildings
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire life safety systems
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record

• Familiarity with automated building controls, preventive maintenance techniques, and pneumatic controls
• Works well under pressure, meticulous, and able to function in a demanding environment
• Manages multiple priorities effectively
• Collaborates while also working independently and takes initiative
• Effective communication skills (computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
