Automotive Technician

Competitive hourly pay of $25-40, plus a productivity bonus

Roda is experimenting with a new technician schedule designed to offer greater flexibility, consistent earnings, and opportunities to increase pay through productivity.

Choose from one of two shifts:

• Morning: 6:00 AM–1:00 PM
• Afternoon: 1:30 PM–8:30 PM

Both shifts are scheduled for 35 hours per week, with the opportunity to earn pay equivalent to 40 hours when the minimum weekly production target is met.

How the compensation works:

• 35 scheduled and guaranteed hours per week
  , with the potential to be paid for 40 hours when you turn a minimum of 45 billed hours.
• Productivity bonus: Earn an additional bonus equal to 50% of billed hours turned beyond 35 hours. For example, turning 45 billed hours earns a 5-hour bonus; turning 55 earns a 10-hour bonus.
• Additional hours: Opportunities to work up to 40 actual hours per week may be available when shifts and shop coverage permit.

• Diagnose vehicle issues using automotive computer systems and diagnostic tools.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and vehicle inspections.
• Document findings through photos and videos to help customers understand recommended services.
• Make recommendations that prioritize vehicle safety, reliability, and applicable inspection standards.
• Order parts in accordance with company quality and pricing guidelines.
• Occasionally assist with vehicle pickup and delivery.

• Paid training, including opportunities for ASE certifications, state inspections, and additional technical courses.
• Up to $2,500 signing bonus for qualified A and B level technicians, payable after six months of employment in accordance with the applicable offer terms.

• Automotive repair and maintenance experience.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to document findings accurately and explain repair recommendations.
• Relevant ASE certifications or the ability to obtain them.
