BHE GT&S has an exciting career opportunity as a Superintendent, LNG Operations (Maintenance) at our Cove Point facility located in Lusby, MD.

• Provides leadership to the maintenance team and oversees maintenance activities of a multi‑disciplined crew (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls) responsible for safe, compliant, reliable operation and maintenance of an LNG terminal.
• Provides direct oversight of the Maintenance Supervisor team and is responsible for routine and outage maintenance activities performed at the facility that include troubleshooting and repairs of complex systems (fans, pumps, compressors, gas turbines, motors, vessels, utilities, piping, valves, tanks, loading arms, and related components).
• Day‑to‑Day Maintenance:
  Overseeing routine day‑to‑day maintenance with a strong focus on preventive maintenance while coordinating activities with the Operations and Engineering teams.
• Maintenance Outages:
  Overseeing large‑scale maintenance outages planning and coordination including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution of major maintenance projects.
• Oversee maintenance team and maintenance activities with emphasis on proactive and preventative maintenance approach, including industry best practices, manufacturer recommendations, and regulatory requirements (FERC, PHMSA, NFPA, USCG, MDOL, MDE, EPA).
• Provide leadership in the creation and implementation of maintenance policies, procedures, condition‑based assessments, maintenance plans, and work methods.
• Utilize CMMS to manage assets, work orders, inventory, scheduling.
• Oversee the maintenance teams (internal and contractor) in repair and overhaul of facility equipment.
• Oversee troubleshooting and repair activities including fans, pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, vessels, piping, valves, tanks, loading arms.
• Identify and resolve schedule impacts and conflicts while coordinating maintenance activities with other departments.
• Develop equipment/outage scope, detailed work plans and long‑term outage schedules and budgets.
• Track, forecast, and control maintenance project/outage expenses.
• Oversee administration and implementation of contracts and maintenance agreements (CSA, LTSA, MMP).
• Serve as central point of contact for expectations, operational concerns, and changing conditions.
• Identify and mitigate risks to prevent incidents and ensure operational integrity and reliability.
• Lead teams effectively with planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills.
• Demonstrate effective leadership and teamwork skills, conflict resolution, negotiation, decision‑making, accountability, employee productivity and development.
• Set and communicate performance standards and professionalism.
• Perform general leadership and administrative duties including performance reviews, safety and training.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory, environmental, health and safety standards.
• Prepare, present, and submit required reports to meet compliance regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and regulatory agencies to maintain alignment with requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of LNG liquefaction, shipping, vaporization, and power plant maintenance operations, and related pipelines, engineering and regulatory compliance.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
• Preferred:
  Prior maintenance craft, lead, supervisor, project management and outage management experience; power generation, LNG production/processing, petrochemical industries or journeyman level or higher;
  Maximo and Oracle experience is a plus;
  Inventory Management experience is a plus.

At least 8 years of related experience, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience with direct reports.

• Mastery of subject matter or diversified knowledge in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
