General Laborer

We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a dependable General Laborer to support quarry operations in Rockville, MD. This role is essential in maintaining safe and efficient production through cleanup, equipment support, and material handling during afternoon and evening shift hours.

The General Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support quarry operations, including site cleanup, assisting equipment operators, and maintaining smooth plant processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring safe, productive operations while adhering to strict safety and compliance standards.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by shoveling, sweeping, and removing debris around quarry and plant areas
• Assist with moving, loading, and unloading raw materials and finished products
• Support equipment operators with basic maintenance, lubrication, and inspections
• Monitor conveyors, chutes, and screens to ensure proper material flow
• Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, digging, and using hand or power tools
• Follow all company and MSHA safety regulations and wear required PPE
• Report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns immediately
• Collaborate with supervisors and operators to complete daily production and maintenance tasks efficiently

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Experience working in an outdoor environment required

• Strong work ethic and ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions

• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of tools and equipment
