Adventist Health Care’s Cardiac Associates is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up care for both work‑related and non‑work‑related injuries and illnesses.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat work‑related injuries and illnesses within the ARNP scope of practice.
- Monitor treatment progress and refer patients to other health‑care providers as needed.
- Coordinate case management, collaborating with medical consultants, rehabilitation providers, attorneys, supervisors, and employees.
- Diagnose and treat non‑work‑related injuries and illnesses requiring limited follow‑up within the ARNP scope.
- Conduct fitness‑for‑duty evaluations, determine modified duty and restrictions, and manage unable‑to‑work and return‑to‑work protocols.
- Initiate therapy for conditions such as:
- Musculoskeletal: strains, sprains, sciatica, inflammation, effusions, non‑displaced fractures, contusions.
- Dermatologic: dermatitis, fungal/bacterial infections, puncture wounds, lacerations, abrasions, burns.
- Infectious disease: prevention, monitoring, and treatment of infections.
- Conjunctivitis, corneal abrasions, non‑embedded foreign bodies.
- Other minor chronic problems or illnesses.
- Provide treatments including diet, exercise, counseling, education, health promotion, laboratory studies, X‑ray imaging, splinting, immobilization, heat or ice therapy, ACLS protocols, and pharmacologic measures such as over‑the‑counter and prescription drugs.
- Participate in practice changes stemming from performance‑improvement activities and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support quality standards, follow CDC isolation guidelines, infection control practices, appropriate use of PPE, hand‑washing, and safety regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Master’s degree and postgraduate training in a clinical specialty (required).
- At least 2 years of clinical experience (strongly preferred).
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) credential and state authority for advanced practice.
- Current Maryland license from the Board of Nursing.
- Copy of privileges permitted by licensure and ongoing eligibility for Medicare program participation.
Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Rotating IP/OP shifts with weekend rounding at SGMC, day shift. Salary range: $96,058.56 – $.
