Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit – Shady Grove Medical Center, Montgomery County, Maryland
Responsibilities- Educate patients and families through the continuum of care, supporting their skill development.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to Level I nurses and leverage electronic resources to promote best practices.
- Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards, and exemplify organizational values.
- Use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non‑nursing duties, and maximize efficiency.
- Develop patient‑specific plans of care and identify changes in condition, initiating corrective actions.
- Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient‑centered care.
- Conduct purposeful rounding from the patient and family perspective.
- Perform efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
- Identify opportunities for clinical improvement and participate in evidence‑based practice changes.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Passing score on NCLEX.
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
- Current Maryland State nursing license.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification as required by specialty area.
