About This Role

Adventist Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for their PACU Unit. This role is ideal for those who are committed to providing compassionate care and are eager to mentor others while advancing their own skills.

• Pay: $37.00 - $55.00
• Location: Rockville, MD
• Facility: Shady Grove Medical Center
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties appropriately.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in change of practice based on evidence.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required, PACU or Critical Care experience strongly preferred

• Current Maryland State nursing license
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Active American Heart Association (ACLS) certification required
• Active American Heart Association (PALS) certification required
