Patient Access ED Registrar, Night Shift, Patient Access

Position Overview

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks an experienced Patient Access ED Registrar who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

• Originate a patient medical record and account number by obtaining and keying accurate demographic, financial, and clinical information.
• Complete insurance verification to maximize reimbursement.
• Achieve point‑of‑service collection goals and assist with departmental goals.
• Provide compassionate service to all patients and display actions and attitudes portraying the organization’s critical success factors.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year of previous hospital or doctor’s office experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment and PC skills.

Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Typical rotating nighttime schedule (Week1:
Wed
10:30PM–7:00AM, Thu7:00PM–7:00AM, Fri
10:30PM–7:00AM, Sat7:00PM–7:00AM; Week2: Wed
10:30PM–7:00AM, Thu
10:30PM–7:00AM, Fri7:00PM–7:00AM, Sat7:00PM–7:00AM). Shift type: nights; weekend requirements: required; holiday requirements: follow company holiday calendar.

$18.40 – $23.48 per hour (typical).
