School Registered Nurse (RN) in Hyattsville, MD

• Active RN license in good standing
• Previous experience in school-based or adult health services
• Background in triage nursing and nurse delegation
• Proficient with electronic medical records and related computer systems
• Experience with care plan management and direct support for adults with disabilities
• Familiarity with 45/90-day assessments, seizure log documentation, and G-tube management
• HRST (Health Risk Screening Tool) certification highly preferred
• Effective communicator able to train staff on safe lifting and medication administration
• Positive, flexible, and professional demeanor

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care for adults in a collaborative educational environment
• Triage health concerns and oversee nursing staff and paraprofessionals
• Complete timely health assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care including G-tube feeding
• Maintain thorough documentation, including seizure and care logs
• Attend meetings and participate in interdisciplinary planning
• Train staff on essential health and safety procedures
• Advocate for individuals’ health needs and well-being at all times

In this vital contract position, you’ll enjoy a steady schedule of 37.5 hours per week:
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30am to 4:30pm, and Tuesday and Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm.
