Transfer Nurse Coordinator, Part-Time Day Shift, Transfer Center

About This Role

The Transfer Nurse Coordinator at Adventist Healthcare is responsible for facilitating patient transfers and providing high-quality nursing care in the Transfer Center. This role is ideal for experienced RNs who are committed to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.

• Pay: $37.00 - $55.00
• Location: Rockville, MD
• Facility: Shady Grove Medical Center
• Schedule: Variable Part-Time, Day Shift

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Facilitate interfacility patient transfers and enter orders.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

• Current Maryland State nursing license
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area (not needed for transfer unit)
