Senior Scientist

Our client seeks a strategic Senior Scientist to join their Antibody Engineering team. This individual will drive innovation in antibody discovery and engineering, integrating cutting-edge computational and experimental approaches to advance a pipeline of novel therapeutics.

The ideal candidate will take on the following responsibilities:

• Develop and advance next-generation antibody engineering methodologies, including structure-informed design, epitope-directed approaches, and affinity/specificity optimization, to expand platform capabilities across discovery and engineering campaigns.
• Design and execute antibody engineering strategies for challenging target classes, including membrane proteins and conformational epitopes.
• Integrate AI/ML and computational tools into antibody engineering workflows — leveraging generative protein design, protein language models, and in silico affinity prediction — to accelerate lead identification and optimization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with structural biology, protein science, and computational teams to support end-to-end antibody development.
• Contribute to intellectual property strategy and advance scientific standing through inventorship and publications in high-impact venues.
• Present findings and progress to internal stakeholders and contribute to overall program strategy.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• PhD in Immunology, Protein Engineering, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field (or MS with significant relevant industry experience).
• Demonstrated experience in antibody engineering, discovery, or optimization (phage display experience welcomed but not required).
• Familiarity with structure-based design, computational tools, or AI/ML approaches to protein/antibody engineering is a strong plus.
• Track record of scientific contributions (patents, publications, or platform advancements).
• Strong collaborative and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
