Ruby Developer

Razor is looking for a Senior Ruby Developer responsible for analyzing customer needs, developing software solutions, and ensuring alignment with system architecture and functional objectives. The Senior Developer must be able to create software across multiple programming languages and application environments, working both independently and collaboratively to deliver high‑quality solutions. Education & Certification Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or another engineering or technical discipline is required.

Ability to obtain VA Medium‑Background Investigation clearance.

• Analyze customer needs and develop overall design objectives
• Develop software across various programming languages and IT applications
• Ensure solutions account for current and future architecture requirements
• Debug and correct software issues
• Collaborate with teams while also working independently

• 5-8 years of software development experience
• Experience with service‑oriented concepts and enabling technologies
• Experience with software development and implementation
• Skills in design, development, testing, deployment, and support
• Experience debugging and correcting program errors
• Experience with Agile methodologies, system architecture, and object‑oriented software design
• Experience with:
  • Ruby on Rails
  • REST and SOAP web services
  • JavaScript, React, Redux
  • RDBMS (Oracle, SQL, Postgres)

• Experience leading and mentoring junior developers
• Experience with:
  • Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift
  • Camunda BPM
  • Jenkins CI/CD
  • AWS technologies
  • RSpec and Ruby on Rails libraries
  • Git, Git Hub, SVN, Mercurial
  • React and Redux
  • Jest or other frontend test frameworks
  • MVC, Mocking, RESTful concepts, ORM
  • HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3
• Ability to write clean Ruby code
