Java Stack Developer

Purpose and Impact

This team develops IC geolocation product lines that address operational requirements from the warfighter. The role exposes you to UI, front‑end, back‑end, and full‑stack development, and involves integrating capabilities across platforms, including containers. Using agile scrum and Dev Ops, you will participate in the full product lifecycle for cutting‑edge geolocation capabilities.

Monday‑Friday, 0800‑1600

• Develop software predominantly using Java to enhance existing capabilities
• Collaborate with a team of software and systems engineers in an agile environment to analyze requirements and derive user stories
• Perform integration and testing as needed
• Test and debug software code for integrated applications
• Provide tier2 and 3 support for deployed capabilities and address bug fixes
• Work individually and as part of a team

• Experience with Enterprise Java development
• Experience developing service‑oriented architectures
• Experience developing micro‑service solutions
• Database experience such as Mongo or MySQL
• Experience with Python development

• Experience with Java development IDEs (IntelliJ, Eclipse, VSCode)
• Experience with agile development practices
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience with Gitlab
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with geolocation applications and/or JICD
• Experience/knowledge of ISLAND TRANSPORT, messaging infrastructure
• Familiarity with Python libraries for scientific programming (Num Py, pandas)
• Ability to read and write into/out of data structures adjacent to complex mathematics
