Niagara Files (NiFi) Cloud Software Engineer with an active TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance Required, Onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD.
The NiFi team requires a Cloud Software Engineer who can assist the team with migrating the existing Apache NiFi/Niagara Files (NiFi) application and Data Flows to the AWS Cloud environment. The team is responsible for migrating and modernizing existing Niagara Files (NiFi) application for optimal use within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment to efficiently operate existing Data Flows. Developers are required to Design, develop, and maintain robust and efficient data flow solutions using Apache Niagara Files (NiFi).
Optimize Niagara Files (NiFi) processors and workflows for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency within the AWS ecosystem. The candidate should have skills and experience with AWS, Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD Implementation, and Security & Compliance.
++Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph security clearance. This is a 100% Onsite position and not open for Hybrid and/or Remote.++
Qualifications- Must have an active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph security clearance.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field is required. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered over the degree.
Note:
A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field. - 8 years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
- 6 years of experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++.
- 5 years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux (Red Hat versions 3-5) operating systems.
- 3 years of experience in software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.
- Demonstrated ability to work with Open Source (No
SQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Accumulo, Big Table, etc. - Demonstrated technical writing skills and shall have generated technical documents in support of a software development project.
- Cloud Developer Certification is required. AWS Certified Developer-Associate, AWS Dev Ops Engineer Professional, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), or Elastic Certified Engineer.
- Strong expertise in AWS services and cloud architecture principles.
- In-depth knowledge of Apache Niagara Files (NiFi) for data ingestion and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, Bash).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and database management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
