Job Summary- Design, develop, integrate, and sustain secure cloud‑based software solutions for mission‑critical Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) programs.
- Perform all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Work independently while providing technical guidance to junior engineers and building cloud solutions that balance performance, scalability, resilience, security, and cost.
- Analyze requirements and translate mission needs into secure, scalable cloud software solutions.
- Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain cloud‑native applications and services.
- Install, configure, evaluate, enhance, and sustain cloud‑based software systems throughout the lifecycle.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software, cloud infrastructure, and integration issues.
- Optimize cloud solutions for cost, capability, availability, security, and operational resilience.
- Develop and review software architectures, technical designs, and engineering documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Estimate effort, define tasks and schedules, and support technical planning activities.
- Participate in software integration, system validation, and operational testing to ensure mission readiness.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, Dev Sec Ops professionals, administrators, and stakeholders to deliver secure cloud capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers and analysts.
- Engage in Agile activities: sprint planning, design reviews, code reviews, and release planning.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform performance, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in software development and engineering, including requirements analysis, design, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or four additional years of directly related experience).
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop secure, scalable cloud software solutions and provide technical guidance to junior personnel.
- One of the following cloud developer certifications: AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer – Professional, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), or Elastic Certified Engineer.
- Experience designing and developing cloud‑native applications and microservices.
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services and architecture.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and distributed applications.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and Dev Sec Ops practices.
- Familiarity with Linux/UNIX operating systems and cloud platform administration.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exempt hourly position.
- 11 paid holidays.
