Back End Developer

Location:

Rockville, MD or Tysons, VA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Must Have:

• 3-5+ years of progressive experience in full-stack software development, with a backend focus.
• Experience with Angular 16+ and monorepo architecture for front-end development.
• Expertise in AWS services:
  Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, ECS, S3, RDS, Document DB, DynamoDB.

We are seeking a talented and smart Backend Engineer to join our team supporting FINRA’s regulatory technology platforms. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work onsite in Rockville or Tysons three days a week. If you have strong experience in Node.js or Java and are open to working with different languages, this is a great opportunity to design and build production‑grade, cloud‑native enterprise applications in a fast‑paced Agile environment.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise web applications using object‑oriented principles and cloud‑native architectures on AWS.
• Architect event‑driven, serverless backend services and RESTful APIs with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and asynchronous messaging via Amazon SQS and SNS.
• Design and optimize data persistence layers with relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and No
  
  SQL (Document DB, DynamoDB) databases.
• Implement cloud‑native architectures leveraging AWS ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, and Document DB for scalable, secure, and fault‑tolerant solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git Hub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Create comprehensive end‑to‑end tests with Playwright and Type Script, including integration and performance validations.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams through sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives to deliver high‑quality solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of progressive experience in full‑stack software development, with a backend focus.
• Experience with Angular 16+ and monorepo architecture for front‑end development.
