Backend Developer, PHP Developer, SQL Developer
Axiom Consultants, Inc, is seeking a skilled PHP Developer to provide support to the NOAA Fisheries Greater Atlantic Regional Fisheries Office (GARFO).
Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and enhance web-based applications using PHP 7 and modern frameworks such as Code Igniter 4.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL scripts and queries for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and implement user-friendly, secure, and scalable solutions.
- Integrate applications with APIs and services using JSON, OpenID, and OIDC protocols.
- Manage code versions and collaborate in a shared development environment using Git and Git Hub.
- Deploy and support applications in a Linux-based environment, utilizing command-line tools for setup and maintenance.
- Contribute to cloud-based development initiatives within AWS, ensuring performance, security, and reliability standards are met.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and daily stand-ups.
- 3+ years of professional PHP development experience, with strong PHP 7 skills
- 3+ years of creating SQL scripts
- Experience using Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, Cloud AWS Environment, JSON, Linux, Git Hub, Command-Line Git, Code Ignitor 4, OpenID, and OIDC
