Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a Software Engineer with back-end development experience.

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD/Hybrid

Travel Required: No

Shift: Day

Remote Type: Hybrid (Up to 16 hours of telework dependent on tasking)

Security Clearance: Current TS/SCI

Salary Range

The projected compensation range for this position is233K-246K (annualized USD).

Salaryis determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Required Skills

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Work on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence
• Experience with the following software development skills:
• Git
• Java, C++,and/or Python
• Relational database, such as Postgres

• A Bachelors degree with seventeen (17) years of software engineering experience
• OR a Bachelors degree with twenty (20) years of software engineering experience in a Qualified Engineering Field (Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management) or a related discipline (Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics) from an accredited college or university
• OR a High School Diploma or GED with twenty-four (24) years of software engineering experience.
