SOFTWARE ENGINEER PRINCIPAL

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACTThe Software Engineer shall be responsible for implementing access controls and permission mechanisms for securing access to critical HPC system resources through robust permission management, ensuring compliance with the Agency’s security policies and industry standards.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEEDBring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Engineer Principal must have:
- Education:
Bachelor of Science - Experience:
8+ years of related experience - Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
- Experience using the Linux CLI
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash) to automate tasks and processes
- Experience developing software solutions using the Python programming language
- Experience implementing RBAC/ABAC for HPC systems
- Experience with advanced Linux security administration including PAM, SELinux, file permissions, ACLs, and audit logging.
- Experience developing IAM solutions using Keycloak
- Experience implementing identity federation and SSO (SAML, OIDC, OAuth2)
- Experience developing and maintaining secret management integrations using Hashi Corp Vault
- Experience developing Ansible playbooks to orchestrate the automation of provisioning HPC hardware and software components
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Pod Man, containerd
- Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including Git Lab CI
- Experience with Git Source Control System
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
- Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
