Angel Camp Group Leader

Are you passionate about creating memorable experiences for children in a safe and supportive environment? Join us as an Angel Camp Group Leader. Your role will be crucial in ensuring Angel Campers have a fun-filled and enriching summer camp experience while maintaining their safety and well-being.

• Ensure campers provided with a safe, engaging, and bully‑free environment.
• Implement daily camp activities and encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity.
• Maintain accurate daily counts of children and adhere to field trip procedures.
• Serve as a positive role model for youth by demonstrating respect, loyalty, patience, integrity, courtesy, and maturity.
• Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.

• No weekend work schedule, with the exception of pre-summer paid trainings announced in advance and end of season cleanup if needed.
• Week of June 29‑July 3rd off.
• Free YMCA membership with family upgrade option and discounts on programs.
• Paid CPR/First Aide certification.
• YMCA Uniform T‑shirts.
• Access to mental health services and career advancement opportunities within the organization.

• Minimum age: 18 years;
  High School Degree/G.E.D. or higher education.
• Previous childcare experience preferred but not required.
• The ability to work outdoors for most of the day, lead activities, including swimming days.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carry at least 30 pounds, and transition from sitting to standing with ease.
• Must be available to work Monday‑Friday from 7:30am‑3pm.
• Must be available for training week of June 2‑5.
• Must be available for Angel camp six weeks over the summer. Three weeks in June and three weeks in July.
