Paramedic - Emergency Full-Time Nights

Work location: Texas Health Rockwall – 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032
Work hours: Full-Time, Nights, 36 hours weekly (3 12‑hour shifts, 7:00 pm‑7:00 am, including weekends)
Emergency Department Highlights- Engaged leadership that actively works to assist staff.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship required.
- 1 year experience paramedic experience in EMS or fire department preferred.
- EMT‑P – Emergency Medical Technician‑Paramedic required upon hire or
- LP – Licensed Paramedic required upon hire or
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire.
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly.
- PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire.
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually.
- Organizational skills to function in a fast‑paced environment, positive interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills, and basic computer skills.
- Respond to others’ priorities regarding privacy, confidentiality, safety, physical, psychological, cognitive, religious, and social needs; incorporate population‑specific safety/infection control measures into patient care; honor the worth of humans through unconditional acceptance and respect.
- Perform technical skills adapted to reflect the population‑specific, developmental, and diversity needs of the patient.
- Provide safe patient care under the delegation of an appropriate physician and competency sign‑off.
- Communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team; incorporate and participate in adopted communication tools; promote a cost‑effective team by judicious use of resources; lead by example by doing the right thing for patient care; adapt to changes in workload; demonstrate flexibility related to patient needs, staffing, and patient acuity; listen to others’ opinions; collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote safe individualized care.
