Position: Physical Therapist (PT) - PRN (Weekday availability)

PRN Physical Therapist – Rockwall, TX

Our hospital offers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a state‑of‑the‑art rehabilitation setting. We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate clinician who wants to make a real difference in patients’ lives.

Responsibilities
  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and establishes plan of care.
  • Evaluates the efficacy of treatment and modifies it as necessary.
  • Conducts all therapy practice within defined standards of care.
  • Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans in accordance with hospital requirements and established guidelines.
  • Regularly updates documentation and maintains prescriptions and signatures in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates, delegates, and supervises responsibilities assigned to support staff.
  • Coordinates with the interdisciplinary team on patient needs, treatment modifications, and progress, including preparing the plan for discharge.
  • Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Assesses risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions.
  • Complies with approved safety and infection prevention standards.
  • May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an inpatient hospital setting; inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
  • Current state license as a Physical Therapist in good standing.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods.
  • Use of both gross and precise motor functions.
  • Ability to lift/exert up to 50 lbs.
  • Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
  • Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation.
  • Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and a computer keyboard.
