PRN Physical Therapist – Rockwall, TX
Our hospital offers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a state‑of‑the‑art rehabilitation setting. We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate clinician who wants to make a real difference in patients’ lives.
Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and establishes plan of care.
- Evaluates the efficacy of treatment and modifies it as necessary.
- Conducts all therapy practice within defined standards of care.
- Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans in accordance with hospital requirements and established guidelines.
- Regularly updates documentation and maintains prescriptions and signatures in a timely manner.
- Coordinates, delegates, and supervises responsibilities assigned to support staff.
- Coordinates with the interdisciplinary team on patient needs, treatment modifications, and progress, including preparing the plan for discharge.
- Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Assesses risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions.
- Complies with approved safety and infection prevention standards.
- May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an inpatient hospital setting; inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Current state license as a Physical Therapist in good standing.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods.
- Use of both gross and precise motor functions.
- Ability to lift/exert up to 50 lbs.
- Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
- Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation.
- Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and a computer keyboard.
