Job Description

The Spine Team Texas Procedure Scheduler is responsible for scheduling all injections and procedures for patients. This position may be cross-trained to schedule surgeries for STT surgeons as a back up. Position must maintain active communication regarding patient status/progress with health team members, and health care providers. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Spine Team Texas.

The Procedure Scheduler reports directly to the Scheduling Supervisor or Manager.

It is the responsibility of the Procedure Scheduler to schedule all injections and procedures performed by Spine Team Texas physicians. This position will also be responsible for follow-up appointments. This position may be cross-trained to schedule surgeries for STT surgeons as a back up. This position will have close interaction with physicians and patients and must comply with all HIPAA regulations at all times.

Procedure Schedulers may be required to participate in Spine Conference. Quality customer service, maintaining confidentiality, problem solving, and accuracy with work is imperative for this position. Other duties and responsibilities may be required by the Spine Team Texas Clinical Director.

Employees must always speak in a kind, courteous and professional manner when dealing with a patient/customer or co-worker. Must be able to sit for long periods of time and work in a well-lit, air conditioned office environment. Must have ability to lift a minimum of 5 pounds. Must be able to work under pressure. Tasks involve no exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous surgery and procedure scheduling experience required.
  • Centricity experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational ability.
  • Possess the ability to plan and execute work projects.
  • Possess the ability to work productively, either independently or with other individuals.
  • Proficient in communicating in the English language both written and verbally.
