Certified Medical Assistant Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant Sign-On for Eligible New Hires Work location: 4450 Tubbs Road Rockwall, TX 75032 with travel to 874 West Hwy 243 - Suite 107 Kaufman, TX 75142
Work hours:
Full-time; 40 hours weekly;
Monday
- Friday (8am-5pm)
- No Weekends

- High School Diploma (REQUIRED
- One year of experience as a CMA (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
- Valid Certification as a Medical Assistant (REQUIRED)
- Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills - within 90 days of job entry (REQUIRED)
- ACLS
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire (PREFERRED) - BCLS
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Exception Quarterly - 90 days upon hire (REQUIRED) - At least 6 months of Surgical Scheduling experience, Front Office experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
- Knowledge of prior authorizations and referrals (PREFERRED)
- Strong knowledge of Insurance Benefits (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
- Bilingual
- English/Spanish (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process
- Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
- Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
- Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
- May work in the front office as needed
- May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
