2nd Shift - Slitter Operator

The Slitter Operator supports in the operation of the entire slitting department. Slitter Operator will operate multiple slitting machines. The operator can load, set up the machines, and pack from a slitting machine. They can complete all testing and paperwork required for each position.

• The Slitter Operator slits large rolls down to smaller rolls in various dimensions according to customer standards.
• Operator appropriately understands and follows the plant’s EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) and Quality systems to maintain a safe workplace and ensure quality product.
• Perform set-up and operate slitting equipment to produce product according to quality and productivity requirements
• Ensures material meets customer requirements throughout the run
• Assumes responsibility for the quality and quantity produced on the machine
• Obtains information from the computer, prints and applies labels
• Accurately performs and records all required testing.
• Provide communication daily with management, maintenance, shift personnel, etc.
• Maintain housekeeping standards of slitter and the surrounding area
• Perform packing and material handling tasks as required
• Follow all company safety rules and procedures

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

This job operates in a production environment.

This is a full-time position. Days & hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 1:0 a.m. with a 30-minute lunch.

Ability to work outside of normal scheduled hours when needed.
