Job Overview
Dealership: L0452 Rockwall Kia – Service Technician A, B & C Lube Technician
We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and accountable automotive service technician to join our team. Minimum of 2 years experience required. Pay: $15–$40 per flat rate hour depending on qualifications, experience, and certifications.
Service Department HoursM-F 7‑6, Saturdays 7‑4, closed Sundays. Candidates must have open availability Monday–Saturday. Saturdays are rotating; specific schedule will be determined during interview.
What You’ll Do- Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose cause of malfunction and complete all work according to applicable safety requirements.
- Road‑test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
- Accurately record time spent on repairs using company time‑clocking procedures.
- Document work performed on repair orders and record test procedures/results.
- Maintain an inventory of normal mechanics tools and return special tools to their proper place.
- Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.
- Ensure customers’ vehicles are returned clean as before service.
- Complete all required training, including manufacturer and ASE certifications.
- Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management.
- Review technical bulletins and other publications as assigned.
- Communicate constructively with other dealership personnel to satisfy customer needs.
- Report any situation or condition that jeopardizes safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership.
- Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards as per departmental policies.
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.

- Competency:
Passed manufacturer training and can perform repairs in the following areas without supervision:
Lube and Maintenance Services;
Engine Repair;
Automatic Transmission;
Manual Drive‑Train Repair;
Suspension/Steering Repair;
Brake Repair;
Electrical/Electrical Systems Repair;
Hybrid/Alternative Fuels;
Heating and A/C Repair;
Engine Drivability Diagnosis and Repair (optional).
- Manufacturer certified in all above areas.
- Minimum of 6 ASE certifications; should be an ASE Master Technician.
- Must hold an appropriate smog license or state emissions certification, as applicable.
- Customer Pay proficiency level: greater than 115% Customer Pay Repairs.
- Five plus years of automotive technical experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
