Job TitleProject Manager
Job SummaryWe are looking for a qualified Project Manager for our Special Projects Group in Connecticut to oversee and direct assigned commercial mechanical construction projects at various locations. The role involves ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and with defined resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare bids and job quotes for projects
- Manage construction projects
- Execute and manage terms of project contracts
- Define a complete scope of work
- Monitor project budgets and labor costs
- Prepare project schedules with milestone deadlines
- Review, analyze, and recommend on project change orders
- Estimate and price change orders as required
- Analyze plans and construction documents to confirm project requirements and opportunities for value engineering
- Prepare documents for billing purposes and coordinate with accounting personnel
- Review project progress with President, CFO, and Group Manager periodically and per request
- Maintain regular communication and collaboration
- Spend time on assigned job sites
- Prepare and manage communications with general contractors, owners, or construction managers for assigned projects
- Recommend methods and improvements based on project needs and resource capabilities
- Report and resolve employee concerns and grievances as needed
- Ensure job site employees maintain a safe work environment
- Attend and conduct meetings as required
- Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs
Preferred education and experience:
- 5-7 years of construction work‑related plumbing and HVAC experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management (preferred)
- Current CT Plumbing & Piping and/or Heating & Cooling license (preferred)
Computer skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel and Word
- Bluebeam Revu PDF editing
COINs Experience is preferred.

- Basic business mathematical functions proficiency
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Effective time and detail management
- Interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Organizational skills for handling and archiving technical data
- Compliance with all operating policies, procedures, plans, and programs
- Strong communication, cooperation, and collaboration with multiple levels of employees, vendors, and suppliers
The position requires regular sitting, seeing, talking, hearing, hand use, walking, and reaching. Frequent use of office tools and equipment such as computers, calculators, copy machines, etc. Requires mobility within the office and commuting among construction sites.
Work EnvironmentWork occurs in typical office environments and frequently at construction field sites when visiting locations.
Compensation Range$85,000 – $115,000 based on experience.
