Women’s Health Connecticut is seeking to hire a full-time, Patient Customer Service Call Center Representative! Position

Hybrid, two- three days on-site

Full-time (40 hrs)

Schedule

Monday
- Friday, 8:00a- 5:00p

Position Summary

The Patient Customer Service Call Center Representative will interact with patients related to medical invoices to explain, correct, and resolve questions and issues.

Position duties and responsibilities:
  • Interact with customers and patients via telephone in a courteous and tactful manner to respond to concerns/questions.
  • Provide excellent quality customer service in a Call Center environment
  • Create Payment and Prepayment Plans as appropriate and needed
  • Monitor and change automated phone messages
  • Meet daily/month call center metrics, individually and department
  • Ability to work on multiple screens
  • Identify issues, resolve patient accounts and when necessary, forward them to appropriate Department or Division.
  • Verify eligibility and benefits using system tools and payer portals when applicable
  • Process and resolve patient correspondence
  • Update patient insurance, resubmit claims when applicable or provide information to Internal Teams to finalize
  • Communicate issues to Management
  • Maintain and respect the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA laws/guidelines, customer service guidelines and corporate policy and procedure
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve and maintain individual, department and company goals
  • Adhere to corporate compliance program guidelines
Required

Skills and Qualifications /Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to calmly handle stressful situations.
  • Exhibit professional phone manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills as evidenced by proficiency and/or training with applicable software.
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding helpful, but not necessary
  • Good mathematical ability
  • Prior Medical Accounts Receivable experience preferred
  • Ability to remain seated for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
