Para educator Position

CREC's Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Elementary School is seeking multiple para educators to work in our state-of-the-art magnet school to provide assistance in classroom management, individual and group student instruction, behavioral management, and various other classroom tasks. The successful candidates will provide one to one student or classroom support. Responsible for providing academic support, behavioral redirection, and general collaboration with the regular education teachers to support the needs of student(s).

Requires high school diploma plus two years of college credit (60 earned college credits) OR an Associate of Arts degree OR a passing score on the Para Pro Assessment. The ability to work with others and to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with students, parents, and teachers is also required. Experience working with students in a diverse school setting and experience working with high needs students preferred.

Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and student information systems a plus.
