• Provide special education instruction in a self-contained elementary school classroom serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) to support students' academic, behavioral, social, and communication goals.
• Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet the unique learning needs of each student.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions and behavior management techniques to promote student success and engagement.
• Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student progress.
• Monitor, document, and communicate student performance, progress toward IEP goals, and behavioral outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment that fosters student growth and independence.
• Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and other school-based collaborative activities.
• Full-time, Monday through Friday school schedule.
• Interviews are being scheduled immediately for an ASAP placement.

• Active Connecticut Special Education Teaching Certification (#065 or #165).
• Candidates with a pending Connecticut teaching certificate may be considered.
• DSAP candidates are not eligible for consideration.
• Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students in an ASD self-contained classroom setting.

• At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
