Job Description- Provide special education instruction in a self-contained elementary school classroom serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) to support students' academic, behavioral, social, and communication goals.
- Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet the unique learning needs of each student.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and behavior management techniques to promote student success and engagement.
- Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student progress.
- Monitor, document, and communicate student performance, progress toward IEP goals, and behavioral outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment that fosters student growth and independence.
- Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and other school-based collaborative activities.
- Full-time, Monday through Friday school schedule.
- Interviews are being scheduled immediately for an ASAP placement.

Job Requirements- Active Connecticut Special Education Teaching Certification (#065 or #165).
- Candidates with a pending Connecticut teaching certificate may be considered.
- DSAP candidates are not eligible for consideration.
- Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students in an ASD self-contained classroom setting.
- At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
