Garg supports state and local transportation agencies with high-quality engineering services on complex public infrastructure programs. We are currently seeking an experienced Bridge Inspection Team Leader to lead NBIS-compliant bridge inspections across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York.

Position Overview

As a Bridge Inspection Team Leader, you will serve in a senior technical and leadership role overseeing bridge inspection teams and ensuring compliance with NBIS and FHWA requirements. This position involves direct coordination with DOT clients, technical oversight of inspection activities, and preparation and review of bridge inspection reports for transportation infrastructure projects throughout the Northeast.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise bridge inspection teams on DOT and transportation infrastructure projects
  • Perform and oversee NBIS-compliant bridge inspections in accordance with FHWA standards
  • Prepare, review, and approve bridge inspection reports and documentation
  • Analyze structural conditions, deficiencies, and inspection findings
  • Coordinate with DOT clients, project managers, and internal engineering teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related engineering discipline
  • EIT required; P.E. preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of bridge inspection experience
  • Completion of NHI bridge inspection training (Bridge, Fracture Critical, Tunnel, Ancillary)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Technical Skills & Experience
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Bentley Micro Station and/or AutoCAD
  • Experience with bridge inspection reporting and documentation systems
