HDR’s Transportation Business Group seeks a Civil EIT/Designer to work on projects in the New England area. Candidates will prepare plans, detail drawings, and quantity estimates for highway, roadway, stormwater, drainage, grading, and multimodal transportation designs for clients such as MassDOT, MBTA, NHDOT, RIDOT, and the City of Boston.
Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Civil EIT/Designer will be a member of the civil engineering design team, working on projects of varying size and complexity. All work should maintain a high standard of professionalism while delivering engineering assignments promptly.
Preferred Qualifications- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates without an EIT will be placed in a Design Coordinator role and expected to obtain an EIT for career progression.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Micro Station.
- At least one prior internship in the AE industry preferred.
- Local candidates preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- A commitment to active participation in an employee‑owned culture.
